You know, even after seven years, it’s not that easy to find Hanson pictures on the Internet. Sure, you can try Google or Yahoo, but it’s really rather difficult to find websites that offer high quality—or even medium quality—Hanson photos. Of course, you can throw a stone and hit dozens of sites offering blurry “candid” pictures of Taylor drinking coffee, or Zac holding hands with Kate, or even other members of the Hanson clan just trying to do something normal, like go to a movie with friends or buy a carton of milk. But this doesn’t help me when I’m trying to find photos for the latest Stay Dreaming challenge winner’s graphics. So I was surfing one of the best, oldest and most extensive Hanson sites on the ‘net—HitzDiary.com. As I had expected, HD had plenty of photos I could use—I chose to download the album most recently updated, which happened to cover Hanson sightseeing at the Great Wall of China. I think great, and begin to view the photos in the gallery one by one. Picture #1, Taylor. I’m not surprised, because he’s everyone’s “favorite,” so I press on. Picture #2, Taylor. Picture #3, Taylor. Finally, after the twelfth consecutive Taylor picture, I began to wonder, despite what I glimpsed in the tiny thumbnails, if only Taylor and Natalie went to the Great Wall, and Natalie decided she didn’t have enough pictures of her husband’s butt—or, more creatively—the back of his head. But a couple pictures down, I find a picture of Taylor and Zac, and am ecstatic that the landscape has changed from TAYLOR to TAYLOR(...and Zac). Picture #13 (above) shows Zac and Taylor in a brother huddle, intently watching the camera. Perhaps Taylor thinks the camera is going to do a trick, but there’s a part of me that’s hoping this is a ploy on Zac’s part. “Here, Taylor, help me...” and then he’ll sock Taylor as soon as he’s next to him. But the next picture shows Taylor intact and without bruises, so I can only assume Zac’s devious plan went awry. Sadly, the picture with Zac is only a brief hiatus, and we’re back to Taylor. He examines the camera carefully, presumably to figure out how exactly it takes such pretty pictures. After another picture of Zac emerges out of the rubble, I begin to wonder just where the hell Isaac is. I mean, seriously. I maybe should’ve been thinking of this earlier, but I have to admit. I was distracted by Zac. It’s a touch tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. I see Isaac’s ear and I get excited. Well, I assume it’s Isaac’s ear because it looks like Isaac’s, and the pants aren’t Zac’s. They’re camo, which kinda surprises me, because with his new refined “hawk” look, I didn’t really peg Isaac as a camo dude. The next picture proves I was right—the camo leg isn’t Isaac’s. Nor is the ear. Now I’m upset, checking all the milk cartons, because I’m sure that Isaac’s lost. This gallery stretches on and on, and we all get to watch Taylor traipsing all over the ancient stones in various poses. As picture after picture of Taylor loads, I find myself wondering if perhaps only Taylor went to China and digitally edited in Zac in afterwards. That gets me to wondering why so many Hanson sites have so many Taylor pictures. I mean, I know he’s pretty and everything, but good grief, Charlie Brown! I have to stand firmly with John Laraquette and ask: What is it with you people?! In the end of the gallery, we finally get a glimpse of Isaac, and I’m relieved, because I almost forgot what he looks like. And the gallery ends just a few pictures later. The score? Doesn’t matter, because Taylor won. Moral of the story? Taylor always wins. ...And he’s got some really ugly shoes. Taylor Goes to China: the Taylor version.
